Job summary

The AA is seeking a Roadside Rescue Mechanic to join their field team. You’ll travel across multiple locations, starting from your driveway to every roadside call, using your technical ability to restore drivers to the road with excellent customer service.

You’ll work in a dynamic environment with shift flexibility, earning a guaranteed £40,270 in Year 1 and potential OTE up to £60,000. A full UK driving licence is essential, and training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualifications.
• Full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less.
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology and tools.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Start and finish on driveway, paid from when you start in the van to finish at home.
• Work independently across varied locations and conditions, while being part of a supportive team.
• Use technical knowledge and clear communication to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Resolve roadside issues on the spot with your skills and calm approach.
