Job summary

The AA is seeking a Roadside Rescue Mechanic to join its nationwide team. You’ll start and finish from your driveway, earning a guaranteed £38,270 in year one with OTE up to £60,000 for top performers, and a 40-hour average week with flexible shift patterns.

You’ll work independently across varied locations, applying your maintenance know‑how and strong communication to restore customers’ journeys, day or night, in any weather.

Shifts: As a patrol you will work on average 40 hour week with a variety of shift pattern options available, you have the flexibility to choose a schedule that best suits your personal and professional needs. The number of rest days you enjoy each year, as well as the length of your shifts will vary based on the shift pattern you select.

What do I need?

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience
• It’s essential that you have a full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology we’ll provide the tools, you bring the curiosity.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays because breakdowns don’t stick to a schedule.
