Job summary

The AA is looking for a Roadside Rescue Mechanic to join our UK team. You’ll start and finish from your driveway, driving out to assist members and bring their day back on track. Expect a 40-hour week with flexible shift options and real hands-on roadside problem solving.

You’ll work independently at varied locations, using your technical knowledge and clear communication to deliver a positive customer experience. Benefits and development opportunities apply.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience.
• Full category B driving licence with 6 points or less.
• Ability to adapt to new technology and use provided tools.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.

Guaranteed year 1 earnings of £40,387 inclusive of location allowance with OTE up to £60,000 based on top performers

Shifts: As a patrol you will work on average 40 hour week with a variety of shift pattern options available, you have the flexibility to choose a schedule that best suits your personal and professional needs. The number of rest days you enjoy each year, as well as the length of your shifts will vary based on the shift pattern you select.

What do I need?

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience
• It’s essential that you have a full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology we’ll provide the tools, you bring the curiosity.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays because breakdowns don’t stick to a schedule.
