Job summary

The AA in London is seeking a Roadside Rescue Mechanic to join the UK’s largest motoring organisation. You’ll start and finish on your driveway, paid from the moment you get in your van to the moment you get home, and work across varied locations to help members back on the road.

You’ll use your technical knowledge and clear communication to deliver a positive customer experience and handle roadside situations with calm, professional service.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualifications.
• Full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less.
• Willingness to use and adapt to new technology provided by the company.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.

Shifts: As a patrol you will work on average 49 hour week with a variety of shift pattern options available, you have the flexibility to choose a schedule that best suits your personal and professional needs. The number of rest days you enjoy each year, as well as the length of your shifts will vary based on the shift pattern you select.

What do I need?

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience
• It’s essential that you have a full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology we’ll provide the tools, you bring the curiosity.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays because breakdowns don’t stick to a schedule.
