Rac Motoring Services is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults, provide fast solutions and reassure RAC members when needed most.

With NVQ2 or equivalent and 2+ years’ experience (or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic) plus a full UK driving licence (<6 points), you’ll work independently, using modern diagnostic technology to keep people moving and safe. Bristol region roles offer development and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and full UK driving licence (<6 points).
• Diagnose faults and repair vehicles at roadside using diagnostic equipment.
• Provide safe, clear customer communication and immediate, confident solutions to keep members on the move.

As a Roadside Technician within our Patrol division, you'll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. Whether it's a flat battery, tyre change, or complex fault-finding, you'll provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when our members need it most.

You'll work independently to diagnose faults, solve problems and help members continue their journeys safely.
