Job summary

WSP in Wales is seeking a talented Engineer to join our Roads team based in Cardiff or Wrexham. You will work on highway projects across sectors, delivering engineering solutions across all stages of the project life cycle.

You will collaborate with clients and internal teams, progress toward IEng or CEng, and use software such as Civil 3D or OpenRoads to support design, analysis and reporting. This role offers exposure to landmark projects with Welsh Government and Transport for Wales, with

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Working towards IEng or CEng with demonstrable progress.
Knowledge of highway design across project life cycle.
Experience in highway geometry, active travel, public transport, drainage, road restraint systems, pavements, signs and markings, and utilities.
Familiarity with DMRB, Manual for Streets, TSRGD, Active Travel Act (Wales) guidance, and Local Authority design guidance.
Experience preparing reports/drawings for transport studies or construction projects.
Experience with CDM Regulations responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Develop engineering solutions for projects or work packages across varying scales and stages, possibly across multiple projects.
Ensure projects are delivered to budget, programme, technical standards and legal requirements.
Collaborate with clients, stakeholders and internal disciplines.
Support Planning, Programming and Pricing of proposals and deliverables.
Provide guidance and support to junior technical staff as appropriate.
