Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is looking for a Design Manager in Cambridge. You will lead multi-disciplinary engineering projects, manage design teams, and ensure quality compliance within the National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework. Ideal candidates will hold a relevant university degree and possess significant project management experience. The role supports a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility to work from home two days a week, and offers a rich set of health and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• A university degree relevant to civil engineering, construction, design or a related discipline.
• Chartered or Incorporated Status (MICE, MCIHT or equivalent) or demonstrable experience is preferable.
• Experience of large, complex civil engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership for delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
• Manage and coordinate design teams effectively.
• Identify and manage design risks.
