Job summary

Tarmac Trading Limited in North Wales is seeking an experienced road surfacing operative to operate surfacing plant across major highways projects. You will work with pavers, rollers, tractors and related machinery, laying coated materials to BS tolerances and ensuring safe operations.

Reporting to the Gang Supervisor, you will perform day-to-day plant checks, maintain housekeeping, and contribute to zero harm culture.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in asphalt laying and road surfacing.
• Proven ability to operate surfacing plant with relevant tickets.
• Experience on larger infrastructure or motorway projects.
• Good communication skills and a proactive, hands-on attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate road surfacing plant and equipment such as pavers, rollers, tractors and associated machinery.
• Work with hot coated materials on live construction and highways environments.
• Lay coated materials in line with specifications and BS tolerances.
• Carry out day-to-day plant checks and basic maintenance.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards on site.
• Promote safe working practices and contribute to zero harm and site compliance.
