Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Works Coordination Officer for a contract role within the highways and traffic sector in London. The role focuses on street works permitting and road space coordination to prevent conflicts and minimise disruption to road users.

You will coordinate road space activities, review permits, work with utilities and contractors, and ensure alignment with project programmes. Strong GIS, traffic management interpretation and stakeholder管理 skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate road space activities and street works across the highways network.
• Review and manage works permits to identify conflicts and reduce disruption.
• Collaborate with utility companies, contractors and stakeholders to coordinate planned activities.
• Assess project programmes and align works with available road space.
• Use GIS and mapping systems to support planning and coordination.
• Interpret traffic management drawings and assess network impact.
• Apply knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works Act and the Traffic Management Act.
• Maintain records and provide updates on coordination activities.
