Job summary

Kent County Council's Road Safety & Active Travel Group is seeking a Road Safety Intelligence and Innovations Support Officer. The role focuses on handling key datasets and making analysis accessible to the wider team to support the Vision Zero Road Safety Strategy.

Reporting to the Team Leader, duties span the Road Safety Intelligence and Innovations Team and the Casualty Data Team. You will work with partners and stakeholders, supporting the Safer Road Partnership across Kent and Medway.

Qualifications

• Must be well organised, numerate and able to pay close attention to detail.
• Excellent IT skills and strong communication/interpersonal abilities.
• Experience in obtaining, cleansing or analysing data is a plus.
• Flexible, adaptable and capable of prioritising competing demands.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Validate personal injury collision data which underpins county road safety efforts.
• Support cleansing, distribution and analysis of other traffic and risk data.
• Process ad-hoc information requests in this field.
• Contribute to Safety Performance Indicators in line with Safe Systems Vision Zero.
