Job summary

Zetec in Ellesmere Port is seeking Road Marking Operatives to join an established outdoor team. The role covers road marking and highway works across multiple sites, with a hands-on approach and a permanent contract.

You will carry out marking, operate road marking machinery, apply markings, and ensure safety while working on live highways. Valid CSCS, full UK driving licence, and a practical, team-focused attitude are required; experience in outdoor/highways work is preferred.

• Carrying out road marking and line marking works.

Road Marking Operatives

Location: Ellesmere Port

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 OTE per annum

Job Type: Permanent

ZETEC are recruiting Road Marking Operatives to join an established business based in Ellesmere Port.

This is a hands-on, outdoor role working as part of a team carrying out road marking and associated highways work across a variety of sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out road marking and line marking works
• Applying road markings using specialist equipment and materials
• Assisting with the installation and removal of road studs and associated highway products
• Preparing surfaces prior to marking
• Operating road marking machinery and equipment
• Using hand tools and other equipment safely
• Loading and unloading vehicles, materials and equipment
• Setting up and clearing work areas
• Working safely around live highways and traffic
• Following site instructions, risk assessments and safe working procedures
• Maintaining equipment and vehicles to a good standard
• Supporting other highways and site activities when required

About You

Previous road marking experience would be advantageous, although candidates from highways, road surfacing, groundworks, construction or similar outdoor environments will also be considered.

You will need:

• Valid CSCS Card
• Full UK driving licence
• A practical, hands-on approach to work
• Experience working in an outdoor, construction or highways environment
• Good awareness of Health & Safety
• Ability to undertake physically demanding work
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexibility regarding working hours when required

Experience operating highways, road marking or construction equipment would be advantageous.
