Your Role

In this role, you will manage the Health chain road logistics planning department for all road logistic shipments, ensuring all operational duties and functions are in accordance with specific operational policies. You will ensure customer excellence is delivered, build excellent relationships with healthcare customers and the supporting teams, and drive continuous improvement, delivering process enhancements and cost savings for both the customer and the business.

Your Responsibilities

• Understanding the Road Logistics operation for industry-related questions and requirements (point of escalation).
• Implementing and supporting the healthcare product portfolio.
• Understanding and managing haulier needs, adopting a partnership approach.
• Gaining an in-depth knowledge of the customer and haulier, including their vision, culture, and seasonality.
• Providing profit projections for road freight to line managers and healthcare product managers.
• Monitoring performance metrics for sub-contracted and internal hauliers.
• Actively reviewing operational procedures to identify opportunities for improvement and advocating continuous enhancements within the team.
• Supporting the planning team with industry-related questions and requirements.

Your Skills and Experiences

• Significant knowledge and experience in Road Logistics operations.
• IT literacy, including Microsoft applications and warehouse software.
• Proven commercial acumen and a highly customer-focused approach.
• Demonstrable experience managing successful customer relationships.
