Job summary

Exemplar Health Care is seeking a Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) for our Hylton Grange care home in Sunderland. The role offers full-time or part-time options with a rate of £20.94 per hour and a focus on high-quality, person-centred care.

You will work with adults with complex and high-acuity needs, supported by strong teams and ongoing training. The post emphasises clinical excellence, independence, and career development within a values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• First-level nursing registration with a valid NMC PIN.
• Experience across Adult, Mental Health and Learning Disability Nursing is desirable.
• Demonstrates compassionate, person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and implement care for the people we support.
• Provide person-centred and evidence-based nursing care.
• Develop collaborative needs-based care plans through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Safe administration of medication.
• Promote health and wellbeing.
• Be the Nurse in Charge of a small unit during shifts.
• Manage situations when behaviours may challenge.
• Promote choice, dignity, independence and respect.
