Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients with a wide range of mental health conditions.
2. Carry out comprehensive assessments and develop individual care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
3. Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and review treatment plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
4. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines.
5. Deliver therapeutic interventions and engage patients in therapeutic activities to enhance recovery.
6. Support and mentor junior staff and nursing students as required.
7. Ensure adherence to all infection control and health and safety guidelines.
8. Provide support to patients and their families, promoting recovery, independence, and well-being.

Key Requirements:

1. Essential:
2. Valid NMC Registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
3. Minimum of 1 year of post-registration experience in a mental health nursing role.
4. Strong understanding of mental health conditions and evidence-based treatments.
5. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and collaborate effectively.
6. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
7. Ability to manage complex cases and provide holistic care to patients.
8. Understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Mental Health Act and Safeguarding protocols.
9. Desirable:
10. Additional qualifications in mental health or a related field.
11. Previous experience in psychiatric, forensic, or community mental health nursing settings.
