Overview

Are you able to spot risks before they happen? Can you review information objectively and guide your clients to safety? We are looking for a Risk Management Consultant to join our Risk Management Solutions team. Your aim is to help clients handle risk exposure more actively in their workplace, covering issues such as Health & Safety and Business Continuity planning.

You will use your commercial expertise and sound judgement to assess client decisions, enhancing retention and renewal rates. You should explore and research your client’s business to highlight potential risks, loyally protect your client’s interests, and deliver bespoke consultancy solutions.

How you'll make an impact
  • Use your expert knowledge to propose changes to operating procedures to safeguard and reduce risks to colleagues, visitors, and contractors.
  • Leverage experience in writing contingency plans, training courses, and proposals to deliver optimal solutions.
  • Conduct surveys and site visits to identify hazardous processes or risks that could pose liabilities.
  • Contribute valuable insights to the team and maintain high external and internal profiles to generate business opportunities.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with Broking, Claims, and Account Management teams, providing regular updates and reviews.
  • Engage with clients to understand current and future requirements, delivering according to work proposals.
  • Secure opportunities to quote and share favorable terms with prospects and negotiate terms with insurers.
  • Demonstrate innovative ideas based on industry trends and standards.
About You
  • Membership in institutes such as IOSH, IRSM, IRM, BCI, or IEMA.
  • Degree-level education and a minimum of a National Education Board Safety and Health general certificate; CMIOSH status preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant business classes and regulatory guidelines.
  • Strong rapport-building, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
  • Experience providing risk management consultancy services with a deep understanding of regulations.
  • Problem-solving skills with creative approaches and confidence in engaging with senior management.
  • Highly motivated, results-focused, ethical, and maintaining high integrity.
  • Robust knowledge of general insurance products is advantageous.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to travel.
