Overview

Are you able to spot risks before they happen? Can you review information objectively and guide your client to safety? We are looking for a Risk Management Consultant to join our Risk Management Solutions team. Your aim is to help clients handle risk exposure more actively in their workplace, covering issues such as Health & Safety and Business Continuity planning.

You will use your commercial expertise and sound judgment to assess client decisions, growing retention and renewal rates. Explore and conduct research into your client’s business, highlight risks they need to consider, and protect your client’s interests by delivering bespoke consultancy solutions.

How you'll make an impact

• Use your expert knowledge to propose changes to operating procedures to safeguard and reduce risks to colleagues, visitors, and contractors.
• Write contingency plans, training courses, and proposals to provide optimal solutions.
• Conduct surveys and site visits to research hazardous processes or risks, documenting liabilities.
• Maintain a high external and internal profile to maximize business opportunities and leads.
• Collaborate seamlessly with Broking, Claims, and Account Management teams, providing regular updates and reviews.
• Connect with clients to understand their current and future requirements, delivering according to work proposals.
• Secure opportunities to quote and share the best terms with prospects.
• Negotiate terms and conditions on tender cases supporting the Broking Manager.
• Stay updated on industry trends and standard methodologies, demonstrating innovative ideas.

About You

• Member of relevant institutes (e.g., IOSH, IRSM, BCM, EMA) and educated to degree level.
• Minimum of the National Education Board of Safety and Health general certificate; CMIOSH preferred.
• Knowledge of appropriate business classes and the ability to act accordingly outside your remit.
• Strong rapport-building, negotiation, influencing, and client-facing skills.
• Experience in risk management consultancy, understanding regulations and guidelines.
• Problem-solving mindset with creative solutions and confidence to interact with senior management.
• Highly motivated, results-focused, ethical, and maintaining high integrity.
• Robust knowledge of general insurance products is advantageous.
• Eligible to work in the UK and able to travel.
