Job summary

Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking a Risk Engineer for the Power Sector. The role is remote within the UK, permanent, and involves conducting risk surveys at power facilities, producing detailed engineering reports, and supporting risk placement in international markets.

Candidates should have strong knowledge of power industry technologies, project management experience, and proficiency with simulation tools. Excellent communication skills are essential.

• Support the Power Broking team in placing risks in international insurance markets.
• Manage and develop the Engineering Management System.

Risk Engineer - Power Sector

Location: Remote UK

Contract Type: Permanent

Benefits: Six figure salary plus benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct standard risk engineering surveys for the Power industry, including 2-3 day site visits, interviews with management teams, and site tours.
• Produce engineering reports detailing site operations, analysis of loss prevention/mitigation features, site quality rankings, recommendations for improvement, and property damage estimations using bespoke modelling software.
• Carry out risk assessments of operational power plants and review new projects for power clients.
• Support the Power Broking team in placing risks in international insurance markets.
• Manage and develop the Engineering Management System.

Special Skills

• Strong working knowledge of power industry technologies and construction management.
• Experience in work execution methods and project management.
• Exposure to risk-assessed, driven decision-making relevant to the field of expertise.
• IT literacy, including general office systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint or similar) and experience with technical simulation packages for process modelling, risk assessment, and project execution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
