Job summary

Merje, a wealth management firm, is seeking a hands-on Risk professional to embed a strong risk culture and derive insights from the data outputs of a newly implemented risk system. You will work with risk and compliance leadership to bring governance to life and turn data into MI for governance forums.

Based near Oxfordshire, you will drive risk frameworks, collaborate with the compliance team, and support client outcomes while connecting risk, people and process in a practical, proactive role.

Qualifications

• Experience with risk frameworks and governance within financial services.
• Proficient with data and MI tools (Power BI or similar).
• Experience writing and delivering reports to senior stakeholders.
• Pragmatic and proactive approach.
• Confident in challenging colleagues and the wider business.
• Personable and collaborative, able to build internal relationships.
• Based within commuting distance of Oxfordshire; driving would be preferable.

Responsibilities

• Embed a strong risk culture across the business.
• Derive insights from data outputs of the new risk system and turn into MI for governance forums.
• Challenge monitoring activity and coordinate with compliance without duplicating their role.
• Support client outcomes and the firm's wider proposition.
• Connect risk, people and process in a hands-on, "doing" role.
