Job description

Join us as a Risk & Controls Manager as part of our exciting new Arago 2.0 Programme, established to support the bank in achieving our ambition to return to green on data Risk by end of 2026.

We’ll look to you to proactively drive the assessment and implementation of the data risk framework and DMOP policy compliance and changes, converting these into appropriate strategies and action plans.

You will work in the BCBS239 workstream as part of Arago 2.0, delivering an improved compliance approach and improving our scores reported to the regulator.

What you'll do

Arago 2.0 is structured across key capabilities and workstreams to mitigate data risk, including:

• Data Management Maturity, establishing maturity across data quality issue management
• Integrated Data Management Platform, developing a platform for improved and secure data access
• Data Control by Design, enhancing data architecture and management standards
• BCBS239, improving compliance framework with clear next steps

You’ll support management in identifying and assessing material data risks, working with senior stakeholders to develop and implement remedial actions where risks are out of appetite.

You’ll promote a culture of proactive risk management and continuous improvement, supporting operational risk objectives.

Additionally, you will:

• Analyze risk reporting and metrics for decision-making
• Coach colleagues to embed a proactive data risk culture
• Educate teams on risk frameworks, policies, and regulatory obligations
• Engage with stakeholders across the organization
• Ensure timely delivery of risk and control actions to internal and external stakeholders

The skills you'll need

We seek a skilled leader with experience in operational and strategic risk and control management.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Strong knowledge of data risk management
• Experience leading risk governance teams
• Knowledge of BCBS239 (preferred but not essential)
• A proven track record in managing data risk actively
