Job summary

MTrec Recruitment is seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Officer to join on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support regulatory, risk, and governance initiatives. The role focuses on embedding compliance into business processes and delivering key projects with a strong emphasis on problem solving and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a regulated financial services environment.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and monitor regulatory risks.
• Maintain risk registers, action plans and governance records.
• Support compliance monitoring and QA activities.
• Assist with regulatory reporting and breach assessments.
• Review and update policies, procedures and governance docs.
• Produce MI reports and presentations for committees.
• Coordinate risk & compliance projects across multiple workstreams.
• Design and implement new frameworks and controls.
• Embed regulatory and risk requirements into business activities.
• Support training and communications for business readiness.
