Job summary

Rettie & Co is seeking a Risk, Compliance & Governance Lead to develop and operate Rettie's enterprise risk, governance and compliance framework, providing specialist advice, assurance and clear reporting to support proportionate decision‑making.

The postholder reports to the COO, line-manages the Risk & Compliance Analyst, and serves as HMRC Compliance Officer and Data Protection Lead across Rettie's estate agency business, based in Edinburgh or Glasgow with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Risk, governance and compliance experience within a regulated or professionally governed organisation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and continually improve the enterprise risk framework under COO sponsorship.
• Maintain the corporate risk register, risk matrix and escalation arrangements.
• Provide practical advice and constructive challenge to senior leaders and managers.
• Coordinate external expertise and independent assurance where depth is required.
• Oversee AML, data protection and other compliance arrangements.
