Job description

Kennedys is seeking a Legal File Auditor to join our Risk & Compliance department, providing expert guidance on professional responsibility, risk, and compliance issues within the Quality and Audit Risk team.

Team Overview

The Risk & Compliance team manages partnership, risk, and compliance issues, serving as an in-house legal department for regulatory and professional conduct inquiries. The Quality and Audit Risk team conducts annual lawyer file audits and supports client team audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the annual lawyer file audit program.
  • Deliver high-quality audit reports and monitor corrective actions.
  • Participate in internal and global audit processes.
  • Discuss audit findings with fee earners, team leaders, and Partners.
  • Support ISO 9001 Quality Management accreditation audits.
  • Help develop internal audit processes and participate in due diligence activities.

Required Experience

  • At least 2 years of legal file management experience.
  • Experience with supervisory roles, peer review, or file audits is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational skills with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters discreetly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Attention to detail.
