Job description

Kennedys is seeking a Legal File Auditor to join our Risk & Compliance department, providing expert guidance on professional responsibility, risk, and compliance issues. The role is within the Quality and Audit Risk team.

Team

The Risk & Compliance team oversees partnership, risk, and compliance issues, acting as an in-house legal department for regulatory and professional conduct inquiries.

The Quality and Audit Risk team manages the annual lawyer file and business services audit programs, supporting client team audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering the annual lawyer file audit program.
  • Prepare timely, high-quality audit reports and monitor corrective actions.
  • Contribute to internal and global audit processes.
  • Discuss audit requirements and findings with fee earners, team leaders, and Partners.
  • Support the ISO 9001 Quality Management accreditation audits.
  • Help develop and improve internal audit processes.
  • Participate in due diligence related to audit activities.

Required Experience

  • At least 2 years of legal file management experience.
  • Supervisory, peer review, or file audit experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and proactive attitude.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters discreetly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Attention to detail.
