OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Deputy Head of UK Risk & Compliance, the Associate will hold a generalist role within the team, focusing on Compliance Monitoring, management of registers, and preparing management information. They will support advisory and monitoring activities, owning routine and essential tasks. This role suits candidates with prior experience in this area seeking a broad compliance role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Preparing Management Information and board reports
2. Assisting with risk management processes and procedures
3. Conducting daily tasks such as PAD requests, maintaining stop and watch lists, and insider lists
4. Investigating breaches and incidents, identifying root causes
5. AML risk screening and monitoring
6. Liaising with the business to ensure recommendations are actioned
7. Submitting FCA regulatory returns
8. Supporting the annual compliance monitoring program, including scoping, reviews, and reporting
9. Monitoring payment flows in line with AML policies
10. Addressing queries from the business on regulatory matters

OTHER DUTIES

The role may also involve:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Relevant experience in investment or wealth management
• Background in compliance, operations, legal, or accountancy preferred
• Good knowledge of FCA regulations
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, with data manipulation experience
• Understanding of trade lifecycle and securities traded
• Experience with core tasks outlined above
