Job summary

Assystem in Warrington is seeking a skilled Risk and Schedule Specialist to join our project controls team. The role focuses on applying risk management to planning, scheduling and delivery, developing risk-based schedules and supporting decision-making.

You will work with project managers, planners and stakeholders, run quantitative schedule risk analysis, and help improve risk processes. Hybrid pattern: 2–3 days in the Warrington office; Inside IR35 contract.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in risk management within a project or programme environment.
• Experience developing and analysing risk-based schedules.
• Experience with quantitative schedule risk analysis and interpreting results.
• Experience supporting risk reviews and workshops.
• Strong understanding of risk, scheduling, project controls and forecasting.
• Experience using risk management and scheduling software.
• Able to analyse information and communicate risk impacts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and manage project risks and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain risk-based project schedules.
• Support risk reviews and workshops with project teams and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate risk information across relevant systems and registers.
• Assess schedule uncertainty and impacts on milestones and completion dates.
• Carry out quantitative schedule risk analysis to support forecasting and decision-making.
• Work with planners, Project Controls and delivery teams to integrate risk into schedules.
• Support risk response, mitigation and monitoring activities.
• Produce clear reports highlighting key risks, schedule drivers, uncertainty and emerging trends.
• Support continuous improvement of project risk processes, tools and techniques.
