Job summary

Scrutton Bland is seeking a Risk & Assurance Audit Associate to join its Assurance & Risk team in Ipswich. You will support the delivery of internal audit and advisory services to a diverse public sector, not-for-profit and commercial client base, strengthening governance and controls.

Working with experienced team members, you will develop your understanding of internal audit, risk management and governance, with opportunities to interact with clients and build relationships.

Qualifications

• Interest in risk, assurance, internal audit, governance or controls.
• Experience not essential; willingness to learn and curiosity valued.
• Able to communicate clearly and work with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of risk-based internal audit assignments from planning to reporting.
• Learn client requirements, risks and objectives with senior team.
• Assist with planning and delivering internal audits across business areas.
• Participate in interviews, walkthroughs, and testing to assess controls.
• Identify risks and opportunities for improvement; contribute to audit reports.
