Job summary

Sumer Group in Ipswich is hiring a Risk and Assurance Audit Associate to join our Assurance & Risk team. You’ll develop your career in risk, assurance and internal audit, working with a diverse range of organisations in the public, not-for-profit, and commercial sectors.

You’ll support delivery of high-quality internal audits, collaborate with experienced staff, build client relationships, and travel to client sites across London and the Eastern Region with hybrid working.

Responsibilities

• Support risk-based internal audits from planning through reporting.
• Collaborate with senior team to understand client requirements and risks.
• Assist with planning and delivery of audits across business areas.
• Participate in client interviews and testing to assess controls.
• Identify risks, control weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare clear audit reports and practical recommendations.
• Develop governance and internal control understanding.
