Job summary

Veolia Group is recruiting for a Risk & Assurance Advisor. The role is mobile with travel to sites around the South East & North, offering a base salary around £40,000 plus a company car or cash allowance, a bonus up to 20% and a range of Veolia benefits.

You will perform audits, support safety, quality & assurance across multiple sites and work with stakeholders to drive improvements. Ideal candidates will have Safety Advisor experience (preferably in waste management) and hold NEBOSH General

Qualifications

• Experience in a Safety Advisor role, ideally in waste management; NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent auditing experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders on site.
• Ability to influence key stakeholders on site and drive safety improvements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site visits and audits to ensure safety, quality and assurance standards.
• Support an operational team across municipal collections, street cleaning and waste facilities.
• Engage with teams to identify improvements and provide practical solutions.
• Liaise with the Municipal Risk & Assurance Manager and external regulators/customers as needed.

What you'll be doing:

• Actively support the business on Safety, Quality & Assurance matters by conducting regular site visits (as per our Annual planner), assure the business the right standards are in place, undertake regular audits, including engagement visits and monitor progress against the site improvement plans.
• You will support an operational team covering municipal collections, street cleaning, waste transfer stations, fleet workshops and an Integrated Waste Management Facility.
• Engage with teams and identify further improvements and provide solutions.
• To work closely with the Municipal Risk & Assurance Manager, to support operations and where appropriate support and liaise with external stakeholders, regulators and customers.
• To liaise with clients and support and advice on industry best practices.

What we're looking for:

• Experience in a Safety Advisor Role, ideally in waste management NEBOSH General Certificate.Or equivalent Auditing experience.
• The ability to influence key stakeholders on site.
• An individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide industry-leading customer service to all internal and external customers.
