About the Role

Clean Harbors is seeking an experienced Risk Controls Analyst in Cybersecurity. You will identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks, serve as a subject matter expert, and ensure controls are effective and compliant with regulatory, legal, and industry standards. Collaboration with stakeholders such as Program Owners and Business Managers is essential to provide a comprehensive view of the technology risk posture and its impact on the business. Your understanding of risk management principles will drive innovative solutions in a constantly evolving landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, standards, and controls.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with platform owners to foster collaboration.
• Monitor and assess control performance, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
• Work independently and coach team members as needed.
• Manage vendor security risk processes including risk assessment and reporting.
• Support security tools such as EDR, Email Filtering, Privileged Access Management, Vulnerability Management, and Brand/Reputation Protection.
• Maintain the Written Information Security Policy.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in technology risk management, information security, or related fields.
• Familiarity with risk management frameworks, industry standards, and regulations, especially NIST 800-171.
• Proficiency in data security, risk assessment, control evaluation, and governance.
