Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is seeking a Technical Administrator to support the day-to-day operation of the Rights of Way Team and to help manage the network of public rights of way. The role involves acting as a first point of contact, handling enquiries, and assisting with processing of legal orders and stakeholder engagement.

You will work with colleagues and partners, maintain records, use ICT systems, and contribute to performance reporting and financial administration.

Qualifications

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a range of people.
  • Comfort using computerised systems and handling information securely.
  • Familiarity with public rights of way or related legislation desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and technical support to the Rights of Way Team.
  • Act as frontline point of contact for customer enquiries, complaints and correspondence.
  • Support officers with processing of legal orders, consultations, committee reports and stakeholder engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and secure records and retrieve information promptly when required.
  • Use ICT systems effectively to support service delivery and improve efficiency.
  • Assist with research, data gathering, performance monitoring and financial administration.
  • Help ensure a customer-focused, professional and responsive service.
