Job summary

Navantia UK is hiring experienced Riggers to support complex lifting and heavy equipment operations on major industrial projects in Methil. This is a safety-first, precision-driven role with real impact on site teams, where careful planning, teamwork and adherence to procedures ensure every lift is performed safely and efficiently.

Candidates should hold NVQ Level 3 in Moving Engineering Loads (or equivalent), have in-depth knowledge of rigging gear and techniques, and the ability to work at

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Moving Engineering Loads (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of LOLER 98 regulations.
• In-depth knowledge of rigging equipment and techniques.
• Ability to work confidently at height.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong team ethic and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Attaching and securing loads using cables, chains, clamps, and shackles.
• Inspecting, preparing, and safely manoeuvring heavy equipment.
• Setting, aligning, and levelling machinery.
• Selecting and preparing rigging gear including beams, pulleys, and bolts.
• Conducting pre- and post-rigging inspections.
• Monitoring and maintaining rigging equipment.
• Working closely with site teams to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Upholding strict safety standards at all times.
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Day shift and Night shift available
• NVQ Level 3 in Moving Engineering Loads (or equivalent)

• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
