Job summary

Mercury Hampton Ltd is seeking experienced riggers based in Yorkshire to support major engineering and construction projects across the UK. This is a long-term role offering competitive daily rates and nationwide mobility on diverse industrial sites.

You will carry out rigging, lifting and installation activities, inspect lifting equipment, follow lift plans and RAMS, and work closely with crane operators and supervisors to ensure safe operations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Rigger in engineering, construction, energy or infrastructure environments.
  • Ability to interpret lift plans and method statements.
  • Commitment to health and safety on site.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out rigging, lifting and installation activities.
  • Inspect lifting equipment and accessories.
  • Work closely with lifting supervisors, crane operators and management teams.
  • Follow lift plans, RAMS and site procedures.
  • Assist with the safe movement and positioning of heavy equipment and materials.
  • Support project teams during installation and construction activities.
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety at all times.
  • Ensure all lifting and rigging activities are completed safely and efficiently.
