Job summary

Borr Drilling is seeking a Cost Controller in Aberdeen to oversee financial analysis for rigs, profit centres and legal entities. You will issue invoices, interact with customers and vendors, and apply accounting principles to prepare and analyze financial information for the assigned rigs and regions.

Responsibilities include reviewing P&L for rig centers, budgeting participation, vendor invoice reviews, and ensuring compliance with internal controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-year college degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA/CMA qualifications preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of financial experience; offshore drilling experience preferred.
• Excellent English verbal and written communications skills.
• Candidate must pass a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Understand Borr’s vision and apply the company values in all business activities.
• Review monthly Profit & Loss statement and account analysis for assigned rig profit centres and balance sheet reconciliations for Legal entities.
• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statement and account analysis for assigned rig profit centres.
• Review monthly financial results with assigned rig teams and provide variance memos/schedules.
• Ensure day-to-day operations are carried out in accordance with policies, objectives and budget.
• Participate in budgeting and roll-on forecast processes.
• Review vendor invoices for proper documentation and account coding.
• Review and classify special items, and authorize financial expenditures (AFEs).
• Interact with Contracts, Supply Chain, HR, Technical and multiple management levels.
• Maintain files and documentation per company policy.
• Determine priorities for multiple projects and ensure timely delivery.
• Participate in other duties as directed by superior.
