Job summary

Pure Talent Group is seeking an experienced Technical Services Engineer/Photocopier for field-based work around Swindon and surrounding regions. You will install, maintain and repair Ricoh MFDs and production print equipment, while also delivering basic IT support to client infrastructures.

The role requires 5+ years in photocopier/managed print engineering, strong Ricoh knowledge, and familiarity with 365 and networking. A UK driving licence is essential; a company van is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Photocopier/Managed Print Engineer.
• Strong experience supporting Ricoh MFDs (preferred).
• Familiarity with Ricoh Smart Operation Panel and associated software.
• Strong knowledge of: Print drivers, Scanning, User authentication, Firmware management, Print networking.
• Experience supporting production print equipment (desirable).
• Experience within an MSP/MPS or customer-facing technical environment.
• Good understanding of Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.
• Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs.
• Experience supporting Windows 10/11, Mac OS and basic Windows Server.
• Ability to troubleshoot software, hardware and network issues.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and commission Ricoh MFDs and production print equipment.
• Diagnose, repair and maintain Ricoh photocopiers and printers to manufacturer standards.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
• Respond to customer service requests within agreed SLAs.
• Perform firmware upgrades and software updates.
• Configure print drivers, scanning (SMB, SMTP, FTP), user authentication and network connectivity.
• Support production print environments where required.
• Maintain accurate service records and complete technical documentation.
• Manage van stock, spare parts, tools and equipment.
• Identify recurring faults and contribute to service improvements.
• Provide remote support where appropriate.
• Attend manufacturer training and maintain relevant certifications.
