Job summary

ALTEN is seeking an experienced RF Test Engineer to support a busy radio testing programme for consumer electronics. Working in a laboratory environment, you will conduct testing, validation and compliance activities to established standards and procedures.

You will work with spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes and RF chambers, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams. The role offers a structured, technically challenging environment with opportunities for professional development

Qualifications

• 2+ years in RF testing or RF lab environment.
• Hands-on with spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, and RF chambers.
• Knowledge of RF principles, measurement techniques, and testing methodologies.
• Experience executing structured test procedures and documenting results.
• Ability to work in regulated processes with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct RF testing using spectrum analysers and oscilloscopes.
• Operate RF test chambers and associated laboratory equipment.
• Support planning, scheduling and execution of daily test activities.
• Work with engineering teams to verify and validate product performance.
• Produce accurate test records, reports, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure testing complies with accreditation, quality and compliance requirements.
• Assist with troubleshooting and investigation of test failures and performance issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory processes and testing methodologies.
