Job summary

Blighter Surveillance Systems Limited is seeking a Production Electronics Engineer to join the Production team. The successful candidate will manage a range of production support activities for our complex products, requiring breadth of knowledge across electronics rather than a narrow speciality.

The role covers radar proving and qualification testing, high-level fault finding to support test engineers, and electronics design of RF and high-speed analogue/digital circuits.

Qualifications

• A degree in electronics.
• RF and high-speed analogue/digital circuit design experience.
• Experience designing production test equipment and automated test techniques.
• A valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support radar proving and qualification testing.
• High-level fault finding support for test engineers.
• Design and implement improvements to existing products.
• Interface between Engineering and Production during design and lifecycle.
• Obsolescence management for existing products.
• Design test equipment, jigs, associated test software and procedures.
• Technical Production support for new designs.
• Produce and maintain manufacturing documentation.
• Use PLM software to maintain product build standards, resolve issues, implement new designs.
• Provide ad-hoc support to engineering and sales staff with materials/manufacturing.
• Assist with improvements to in-house production facilities and processes as needed.
• Manage new process/products into suppliers when needed.
