Job summary

West Mercia Police are seeking a Radio Frequency Propagation Surveyor (RFPS) Specialist based in Defford. The role focuses on accreditation and quality for RFPS, enhancing digital intelligence capabilities to support major crime, risk and vulnerability investigations.

The post requires coordinating with the Forensic Services Quality Team to maintain ISO 17025/17020 standards and FSR codes. The successful candidate will lead a small RFPS team, provide strategic advice to Officers in Charge, and

Responsibilities

• Manage the day‑to‑day activities of accreditation and quality for the RFPS service.
• Provide enhanced digital intelligence and investigative capability in RFPS to support major/serious crime and risk/vulnerability matters.
• Collaborate with the Forensic Services Quality Team to ensure ISO 17025/17020 conformity and compliance with FSR Codes for RFPS.
• Offer advice and assistance to Officers in Charge on Digital Media Investigation strategies.
• Manage a small RFPS team, supporting development and compliance.
• Provide technical support to investigators, prosecutors and external agencies to strengthen electronic crime responses.
