Job summary

Carbon 60, Inc. seeks an RF Engineer to join the HWIL team in Stevenage. You will design, develop and maintain RF equipment, working with RF, electronics and software specialists to deliver realistic missile simulations in a multidisciplinary environment.

The role supports on-site collaboration with a flexible work-from-home day. You will contribute to real-time HWIL simulations and integration efforts across hardware and software components.

Qualifications

• RF design and testing capabilities.
• Ability to analyze system performance and identify bottlenecks.
• Interface debugging and integration across hardware and software.
• Experience with real-time application design and evaluation.
• Linux operating system proficiency.
• C++ programming experience is advantageous.
• Experience integrating microcontrollers or SBCs (e.g. Raspberry Pi) with RF hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain RF equipment and subsystems.
• Collaborate with RF, electronics and software teams on integration.
• Develop capabilities for advanced HWIL simulations.
• Support RF hardware, electronics and software integration.
• Investigate and resolve interface and system-performance issues.
• Adapt to new and complex engineering challenges.
• Analyze simulations and missile behavior to extract key results.
