Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Rework Technician in Uxbridge to modify, rework and upgrade PCB assemblies to IPC 610 Class 3 standards. You will remove and replace SMT components as small as 0201/01005 and handle various IC packages, building to customer specifications while maintaining quality workmanship.

The role requires 3+ years in PCB production, IPC610 Class 3 soldering, fine tool and microscope usage, and basic computer literacy.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience in PCB production.
• Hand soldering IPC 610 Class 3 trained.
• Use of fine tools and microscopes.
• Computer literate

Responsibilities

• Removal and replacement of SMT components down to 0201 and 01005 sizes.
• Removal and replacement of SMT and thru-hole IC packages and connectors (DIL, uBGA, BGAs, PGAs, QFPs).
• Build product according to customer specifications and requirements.
• Ensure workmanship meets specified levels and follows company procedures.

Rework Technician

Location: Uxbridge (UB8)

Pay Rate:

£14- £15 per hour PAYE or Holiday paid £15.69- £16.81

Umbrella rates £18- £19 per hour

PURPOSE OF JOB

Modification, rework and upgrade of PCB assemblies to IPC 610 Class 3 standard.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 3 years' experience in PCB production
• Hand soldering IPC 610 Class 3 trained
• Use of fine tools and microscopes
• Computer literate

PRIMARY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Removal and replacement of a wide variety of SMT components down to 0201 and 01005 dimensions.
• Removal and replacement of a wide variety of SMT and thru-hole IC packages and connectors including DIL, uBGA, BGAs PGAs, QFPs
• Build product according to customer specifications and requirements
• Ensure all work is completed to specified levels of acceptable workmanship.
• Follow company procedures and work instructions at all times.

• Comply with the statutory requirements and regulations and Company requirements
• Carry out any other reasonable request which is for the benefit of the business
• Assist in the training of team members ensuring best practice standards are maintained
