Job description

As Doubtless Pet Care continues to grow, we are seeking a Reward Partner to join our small Reward team. This is a hands‑on specialist role with the opportunity to help deliver our UK reward roadmap and shape our evolving European reward approach.

Package: Salary circa £60,000, starting at 25 days’ leave with the opportunity to buy extra leave, plus your birthday off, private medical insurance, healthcare cash plan, pension, life assurance and a range of employee benefits.

Location: This is a remote role with occasional travel across the UK and Europe, including visits to our offices as business needs require.

What you’ll get up to as our Reward Partner – Europe
  • Deliver our UK reward roadmap – partner with the Head of Reward, Reward colleagues, HR Business Partners and People Operations to deliver UK priorities, supporting projects from design through to implementation.
  • Shape our European reward approach – identify priorities and opportunities for greater regional consistency across Germany, France, the Netherlands and Belgium, while ensuring solutions reflect local legislation, market conditions and business needs.
  • Provide expert reward advice – support HR Business Partners and leaders on pay, benchmarking, benefits, pensions, recognition, role design and grading.
  • Lead annual reward processes – manage pay reviews and bonus processes for allocated European populations, including analysis, modelling, benchmarking, governance and stakeholder guidance.
  • Drive benefits and recognition improvements – review reward offerings, manage renewals and external providers, and support the implementation of new platforms that enhance colleague experience and deliver value.
  • Support job architecture and evaluation – apply agreed methodologies to job evaluation and role matching, helping embed the WTW Global job architecture framework.
  • Turn data into insight – use salary surveys, market benchmarks and colleague data to develop clear recommendations that balance fairness, competitiveness, affordability and business performance.
  • Maintain effective reward governance – oversee relevant policies, procedures, pay reporting and communications, working with local specialists and employee representatives to meet legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Build strong partnerships – collaborate with local People teams, Finance, Payroll, Legal and external providers to deliver joined‑up, effective reward solutions.
  • Keep us ahead of the curve – monitor developments in reward practice, legislation and EU pay transparency requirements, translating these into practical recommendations for the business.
What We Look For In You
  • Significant, hands‑on reward, compensation and benefits experience across several European countries, ideally within a complex or matrix organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of UK and European reward practice, including local market and legislative considerations and EU pay transparency requirements.
  • Broad experience across compensation, benefits, recognition, job architecture, grading and salary benchmarking.
  • A track record of adapting group or regional reward approaches to local requirements, working effectively with People, Payroll, Tax, Legal and employee representative stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering reward projects and change, ideally including benefits or recognition technology and job architecture implementation.
  • Practical experience of job evaluation and role matching; familiarity with WTW methodology would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, including Excel, with the ability to interpret complex data and turn it into clear, commercially sound recommendations.
  • The confidence and credibility to advise and influence senior stakeholders, build trusted partnerships and constructively challenge where needed.
  • A collaborative, adaptable approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively across different countries and cultures.
  • A CIPD qualification or equivalent reward qualification is desirable, as is formal WTW job evaluation training.
