Job summary

Wesleyan is seeking a Reward Analyst to shape reward strategy and governance within a UK hybrid setup, with the Birmingham office typically used two days per week. The role focuses on delivering reward reporting, benchmarking and incentive design across the business.

You will own bonus calculations, develop financial models, forecast outcomes and collaborate with HR and senior stakeholders to ensure remuneration remains competitive and compliant.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with advanced Excel capability.
  • Experience of financial modelling, forecasting and scenario analysis.
  • Understanding of budgets and cost management.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver reward reporting, insight, modelling and benchmarking to support reward strategy and remuneration design and governance.
  • Administer bonus calculations, ensuring payments are processed accurately.
  • Produce financial models to assess proposed reward initiatives and impacts.
  • Take the lead in reviewing and enhancing variable pay schemes to drive business priorities.
  • Assist in planning and execution of annual remuneration activities, including salary reviews and benchmarking.
  • Support reward governance and regulatory oversight through reporting and analyses.

Salary: Up to £46,000 based on skills and experience
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Hybrid working (office based in Birmingham) - typically 2 days in the office per week

The role will deliver reward reporting, insight, modelling and benchmarking to support reward strategy, ensure remuneration arrangements remain commercially effective and compliant, and contribute to the development of broader reward initiatives across the company. With regular interaction across the company with HR and senior stakeholders to design and manage variable pay schemes.

  • Take ownership of the design, governance and delivery of reward and incentive programmes, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Administer bonus calculations, ensuring payments are processed accurately and queries are resolved efficiently.
  • Produce financial models to assess proposed reward initiatives, measuring potential financial, commercial and employee impacts to support planning decisions.
  • Take a lead in reviewing and enhancing variable pay schemes to ensure that they continue to drive desired behaviours and support business priorities.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of annual remuneration activities, including salary reviews, benchmarking, bonus processes and related reward initiatives.
  • Support reward governance and compliance requirements through remuneration reporting, pay equity analysis and regulatory oversight

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with advanced Excel capability.
  • Experience of financial modelling, forecasting and scenario analysis.
  • Understanding of the business objectives and plans with the ability to interpret these in line with the key requirements of the role.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to explain complex matters in a simple manner.
  • Understanding of budgets and cost management.
  • Ability to establish long-term solid partnerships and relationships demonstrating teamwork and collaboration across the Society.
  • Experience of reward benchmarking and market analysis.
  • Understanding of reward governance and remuneration risk management within Financial Services.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience presenting to senior leaders and governance forums.
