Job summary

AECOM in Glasgow is seeking a Revit Technician to support water infrastructure projects. You will manage Revit deliverables, champion BIM, and collaborate with design teams across Scotland, benefiting from a flexible hybrid working model.

The role requires a postgraduate qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering, proficiency in Revit and Navisworks, experience with a Common Data Environment such as ProjectWise or Autodesk Construction Cloud, and the ability to maintain CAD standards.

Qualifications

• Certified in Civil/Structural engineering with a postgraduate degree.
• Proficient in Revit and able to validate/co-ordinate models in Navisworks.
• Experience with Common Data Environments (ProjectWise or similar).

Responsibilities

Job Description

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Utilise Digital Tools: Encourage the use of digital tools to review, influence, and enhance design quality processes.
• Champion BIM: Promote, articulate, and lead BIM behaviours on the projects.
• Manage Revit Deliverables: Oversee Revit deliverables for multiple projects, ensuring completion within budget.
• Project Support: Provide direct support and production for assigned projects, creating Revit models as required using standards to meet job requirements, including appropriate level of detail, metadata population, and classification data incorporation.
• Maintain Standards: Support the Digital Engineering Lead in maintaining CAD standards, best practices, and processes for modeling, content creation, and advanced digital developments.
• Design Team Meetings: Actively participate and input to design team meetings, bringing a digital‑by‑default mindset, championing the use of 3D model reviews and markups.
• Mentor Junior Technicians: Work across the Scotland offices supporting junior Revit Technicians from a technical perspective.

Qualifications

• Certified Postgraduate or Equivalent Qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Project Information Delivery: Experience in delivering project information in accordance with BIM standards.
• Software Proficiency: Proficient in using Revit, with experience in validating and coordinating models in Navisworks or similar software. (minimum years of experience)
• Common Data Environment Experience: Experience working in a Common Data Environment such as ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar.
