Sandwell Council is seeking an Assistant Finance Business Partner (Revenue) to join the Finance division. Based at Oldbury, you’ll help manage revenue budgets, forecasts and financial reporting, working with service managers to drive financial performance.

The role supports qualified or part-qualified accountants, with development opportunities and exposure to governance, budgeting and planning in a collaborative team.

Qualifikationen

• Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA or studying toward a professional qualification.
• Experience budgeting, forecasting and financial monitoring or management accounting.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with data interpretation.
• Ability to present financial insights to non-finance audiences.
• Proficient in Excel and financial systems.
• Proactive, well-organised and able to handle competing priorities.

Aufgaben

• Support revenue budgets and medium‑term financial plans.
• Collaborate with managers to align budgets with priorities.
• Produce revenue budget monitoring reports and forecasts.
• Analyse performance and support corrective actions.
• Perform financial modelling, reconciliations and analysis.
• Assist year-end activities, grant claims and reporting.
