Job summary

A leading international law firm is seeking a Revenue & Credit Controller to join its high‑performing Finance team on an interim basis. You will manage a portfolio of partner‑led business areas, drive cash collection, and support the full revenue cycle from billing through to collections.

Success will depend on building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients, resolving client queries promptly, and monitoring aged debt to improve cash flow.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within Revenue Control, Credit Control, Billing or AR in a professional services environment.
• Strong relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders and clients.
• Excellent communication and numerical accuracy with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of partner-led business areas, proactively reducing lock-up through WIP, billing and collections.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure invoices are processed and paid on time.
• Own client queries and resolve issues promptly while maintaining service levels.
• Monitor aged debt, identify risks and escalate to improve cash flow.
• Maintain records, reconciliations, client data and collections activity across finance systems.
• Manage client ledgers, monthly statements and special billing where needed.
• Support debt recovery strategies and prepare cases for legal action when required.
• Contribute to month-end activities and finance projects to improve revenue and billing processes.

An established international law firm is seeking a Revenue & Credit Controller to join its high-performing Finance team on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced revenue professional to manage a portfolio of key stakeholders, drive cash collection performance, and support the full revenue cycle from billing through to collections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of partner-led business areas, proactively reducing lock-up through effective WIP, billing and collections management.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure invoices are processed and paid within agreed terms.
• Take ownership of client queries, resolving issues promptly while maintaining excellent service levels.
• Monitor aged debt, identify potential risks and implement appropriate escalation strategies to improve cash flow performance.
• Maintain accurate records, account reconciliations, client contact information and collections activity across finance systems.
• Manage client ledgers, monthly statement runs and special billing arrangements where required.
• Support partners and senior stakeholders with debt recovery strategies, including preparation of cases for legal action when necessary.
• Contribute to month-end activities and assist with finance projects aimed at improving revenue and billing processes.

About You:

• Proven experience within Revenue Control, Credit Control, Billing or Accounts Receivable, ideally within a legal or professional services environment.
• Strong relationship-building skills with the confidence to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and clients.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and diplomatic approach.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with a high level of attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, resilient and solutions-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Experience with legal finance systems or e-billing platforms would be advantageous but is not essential.
