Job summary

Baudains Executive Services is seeking a proactive Billing and Revenue Controller to manage the end-to-end revenue cycle for a leading professional services firm in Jersey. You will deliver accurate billing, oversee eBilling submissions, monitor WIP and drive debt collection.

Working closely with Partners, Fee Earners and clients, you will resolve queries, optimize cash conversion and support working capital objectives.

• Experience in legal or professional services billing.
• Strong familiarity with eBilling platforms.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare draft bills, schedules and amendments; secure prompt approvals from Fee Earners within tight deadlines.
• Monitor unbilled WIP, identify billing blockers, and process write-offs, transfers, and matter closures.
• Submit invoices via client portals, resolve rejections/validation errors, and ensure strict compliance with client guidelines.
• Manage a portfolio of matters through the collection cycle, follow up on outstanding debtors, and resolve client queries professionally.
• Maintain accurate revenue records and provide flexible cover across the wider finance team during absences.

About the Role

A leading professional services firm is seeking a proactive Billing and Revenue Controller to manage the end-to-end revenue cycle. You will deliver accurate billing, oversee eBilling submissions, monitor work in progress (WIP), and drive debt collection activities. Working closely with Partners, Fee Earners, and clients, you will resolve queries, optimize cash conversion, and support overall working capital objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Billing Management: Prepare draft bills, schedules, and amendments; secure prompt approvals from Fee Earners within tight deadlines.
• WIP & Revenue Control: Monitor unbilled WIP, identify billing blockers, and process write-offs, transfers, and matter closures.
• eBilling Strategy: Submit invoices via client portals, resolve rejections/validation errors, and ensure strict compliance with client guidelines.
• Credit Control & Client Care: Manage a portfolio of matters through the collection cycle, follow up on outstanding debtors, and resolve client queries professionally.
