Job summary

Cobb & Jones Recruitment Limited are currently seeking a Revenue Accountant for a hybrid role near Maidstone. The position offers exposure to the full AR function and revenue processes within a growing business.

You will manage the AR inbox, perform reconciliations, help with invoicing, journal entries and balance sheet review, and collaborate with sales, customer service and finance teams to drive accurate revenue reporting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Accounts Receivable experience
• Strong understanding of invoicing and revenue processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Organised and able to manage multiple priorities
• Team player with proactive mindset

Responsibilities

• Manage the Accounts Receivable inbox and resolve customer queries
• Perform bank postings and reconciliations to maintain accurate records
• Complete revenue reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Prepare deferred and accrued revenue calculations and journals
• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations with audit-ready documentation
• Generate and issue accurate customer invoices on schedule
• Process and allocate cash receipts and payments
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Support financial reporting including aged debt and cashflow updates
• Maintain records of transactions and account activity
• Collaborate with sales, customer service and finance teams
• Contribute to improvements in financial controls and processes
• Support smooth AR operations across the finance function
