Job summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Return to Practice Speech and Language Therapist to re-enter clinical work in the School Age SLT Team. The role is based at St Michaels Hospital, Enfield, with part-time hours (22.5 per week) and progression from Band 4 to Band 5 as competencies are met.

You will refresh clinical skills while working with experienced colleagues, within a supportive, values-driven trust that emphasises equality and professional development.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Eligibility for HCPC registration is required.
• Experience as an SLT and a commitment to evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver intervention for children and young people with speech, language and communication needs.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to holistic care plans.
• Provide training, advice and consultation for school staff to support communication-friendly learning.
• Keep accurate, timely clinical records in line with HCPC and RCSLT standards.
• Engage in supervised practice hours and reflective learning to meet return-to-practice requirements.
