Job summary

Midland Heart is seeking an experienced Contract Delivery Surveyor (Retrofit) to join our Property Investment team, supporting high-quality retrofit and maintenance works across our housing portfolio. You will assess property condition and energy performance, oversee contractor delivery, and ensure works meet PAS 2030/2035, building regs and Decent Homes standards.

You’ll work with contractors, colleagues and tenants to deliver improvements safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Good technical understanding of building construction, energy performance and retrofit requirements.
• Experience supervising contractors delivering property improvements and ensuring quality and compliance.
• Experience undertaking EPC and RdSAP surveys on domestic properties.
• Familiarity with PAS 2030/2035 and relevant building regulations.

Responsibilities

• Energy Performance & RdSAP surveys for domestic properties to support retrofit and maintenance works.
• Retrofit compliance: monitor contractors' assessment, design, coordination and evaluation against PAS 2030/2035; challenge where needed.
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure quality, timescales and KPIs.
• Inspect completed works for defects and compliance with regulations and Decent Homes Standard.
• Support budget management and seek value for money improvements.
• Coordinate with tenants and internal teams to minimise disruption and maintain high customer service.
