Job summary

West Midlands Combined Authority is seeking a Project Manager for the Retrofit Delivery team in Birmingham to lead building retrofit projects across the West Midlands, coordinating with local authorities, housing associations and contractors to mobilise and deliver to completion.

You will manage budgets, timelines and quality checks, ensuring compliance with PAS 2030, Building Control and other standards, while building strong partnerships and delivering value to communities through Energy

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting or managing Retrofit/Construction projects.
• Experience of stakeholder engagement and management.
• Experience of working with diverse stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
• Experience of developing systems to support project appraisals and delivery.
• Experience of achieving milestones and forecasting budgets.
• Excellent analytical skills for evaluating information and choosing approaches.
• Excellent communication to draft technical and non-technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Manage retrofit projects from mobilisation to completion and close-down, ensuring milestones and critical paths.
• Build strong relationships with local authorities, housing associations, contractors and stakeholders.
• Review performance data and KPIs, identify issues and provide recommendations to keep delivery on track.
• Develop and maintain project quality controls, plans, risk registers and governance records.
• Support budget management including cost verification, forecasting, profiling and governance.
• Represent Energy Capital and WMCA at meetings, communicating complex information clearly.
