Job summary

Baily Garner LLP is seeking a qualified Retrofit Assessor to join its Eltham team. The role involves delivering PAS 2035-compliant retrofit assessments for social housing and private clients, supported by the Elmhurst platform.

You will work as part of an established multi-disciplinary team across London and South East projects, balancing site surveys with office reporting, and contributing to decarbonisation aims.

Qualifications

• Qualified Retrofit Assessor (Level 3 Award in Domestic Retrofit Assessment or equivalent).
• Accreditation through Elmhurst or another recognised body.
• Understanding PAS 2035 requirements and retrofit processes.
• Experience undertaking domestic property surveys.
• Strong report-writing and data management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently within a team.

Responsibilities

• Undertake PAS 2035-compliant Retrofit Assessments across domestic properties.
• Complete occupancy assessments, surveys and fabric inspections.
• Collect accurate data to support retrofit design and coordination activities.
• Identify building defects and factors influencing retrofit proposals.
• Produce high-quality assessment reports using the Elmhurst platform.
• Maintain PAS 2035, TrustMark and internal QA compliance.
• Coordinate with Retrofit Coordinators, Designers and clients to ensure data accuracy.
• Manage workload to achieve project delivery targets and deadlines.
• Ensure site inspections are conducted safely per H&S procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
